nursery crashing! {my son's room}

Today I am featuring my own son's room... his room has evolved as he has grown, obviously. My goal was to give his room an age appropriate set up, but still have it feel hip and fun for him as he gets older. His current set up has been this way for about three years and I still don't feel like he is growing out of it. So, success!

We are nuts about books in this house, so a basket for books is a given. Then he has his mini Poang chair (IKEA) from when he was very little, and a road map of Michigan that he snagged from his Grandpa's glove box is instant art with an inexpensive IKEA frame.

The N O A H letter hooks are from Anthropologie (they were a gift) and my husband put them on this red board so that they are super sturdy. They hold robot claws (naturally, right?!) and the little man's robe.

I am in LOVE with bunk beds for kids. It's perfect when there is an extra bed needed, for building forts and someday for sleep overs with cousins or friends. The letter bedding is from Target... the orange and red duvet set from IKEA. Noah also has a coffee table in his room (a free hand-me-down) and it's perfect for setting up Legos and Playmobile villages without being in the main living areas.

The dresser is another hand-me-down... they were my dad's when he was little (my daughter has the matching one... and yes, they need hardware).

Noah's license plate collection is my favorite part of the room. We grow it slowly from flea markets, antique shops and friends and family. I love that so many of the plates have sentimental value - they will hopefully be a fun collection for him to keep for life. I attached them with 3M easy release strips. It makes them easy to go up (and one day, sob, come down).

So that's it! Thanks for indulging me in this little tour!

Woohoo Wyoming! It's an old one too! Do you know somebody who lives here or find it at a flea market?

Love his license plate collection. I've been on the lookout for Cali since you mentioned it awhile back. It'll be fun to send one once I find one! I love bunk beds too, and have thought about it for the girls when they get older. Right now Kara would probably climb up there and launch herself off the top just for fun!

I LOVE the license plate collection. What a great idea! And I'm totally obsessed with command adhesive strips. Can't live without 'em.

I'm doing a room makeover for Hudson right now...may just have to borrow some of your ideas. :)
